Removal of resistance: In fact it's easy in any minute, hour, day or year, to look 'desire' in the eye and realise that it's a 2d pretence, put there to manipulate and hoodwink your rational faculties. Unification: Without the third party intervention you wouldn't have done the deed of consuming - why be so stupid that you can't simply behave as though that intervention (the advert, the consumer signal, even just someone else's eating something) is not there, is having no impact on your mind? Or are you a 2 year old? Seriously. Unless you're eating the nutrition you need, there's no reason you HAVE to be controlled by 'desire' - least of all desire triggered externally!
