Thrust of argument: People who tell you to just eat lots of veg and fruit tend to overlook the fact that you may just eat that on top of whatever else you eat. Direction of resistance / implied resistance: I find that trying to minimise meat and maximise veg is a good way to avoid loading up too much on everything! The additional vegetables are good if they fill the space of other stuff which had high calories but on top of it, that's no good.

Removal of resistance: As for fruit. You certainly should eat your regular fruit portions, but don't look upon fruit as low calorie, whatever you do! Unification: An orange may easily have an entire 100 calories - and a glass of freshly squeezed juice a couple of hundred or more. A glass of water - zero.
