Removal of resistance: You can take the horse to the water. Unification: THEN it needs MANY things before drinking - the will to drink, the awareness that there is something to drink, the capacity to drink. If you for example took a blind horse or a horse with a broken jaw to water, it may not be so easy for them to get on with drinking. If you took one which wasn't even thirsty - wouldn't YOU be the idiot, rather than the horse?
